Project:Policies specific to living people
In general, when it comes to representing persons who are living, lgbtDB follows the guidelines and advice laid out on Wikipedia. However, in addition, if a living person (or an authorized representative for the person) reaches out to an administrator or moderator at lgbtDB or Wikibase.Cloud and asks for content to be removed, either about having an entry on lgbtDB or having a particular statement or datum available on their entry, as long as the person's identity (or the authorization status of the representative) can be verified, we will always remove the information and make a note as to the nature of the removal on the discussion page, and a ban on the addition of that information will extend at least to the person's death or, in select circumstances, indefinitely.
Policies Related to Respect for Persons
Deadnaming
We do not include deadnames for living people, unless specifically asked to do so by the living person themselves, in which case evidence as to that person's wishes should be recorded in a publicly available forum that can be linked to as a reference. See also policies specific to names.

Social Media Profiles
Social media profiles for living persons are not, and should not be, directly linked under living persons profiles. Social media profiles might be linked at other sites that lgbtDB indirectly connects to, such as on Wikidata. In rare circumstances (such as citing pronoun use or gender identity), a social media profile link may be referenced using a reference URL, but doing so should be avoided where possible.
