While sexually-transmitted infections including HPV, HSV, HIV, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, have been described in TGD individuals after vaginoplasty, the reports are very rare, and the provider should maintain an index of suspicion and maintain a broad differential for symptoms including neovaginal discharge.
